An introduction to social therapeutics: how a psychology of becoming informs a non-diagnostic, developmental therapy

I went to this two day workshop at then end of March, organised by the Institute of Family Therapy and delivered by Jim Wilson and Lois Holzman.

The workshop brought together Systemic and Social Therapeutic perspectives and explored how these were relevant to our practice. There was a lot of active work, taking different positions, mirroring and improvising, as well as some presentations and conversations.

The workshop was stimulating, challenging and developed a strong sense of shared enterprise in the group very quickly, which spoke well of the facilitators skills in enabling us all to get the most from the event.
